Top Tips for Training your Puppy
Puppies do not know right from wrong. We must show them, using kind and fair methods, how we would like them to behave in different situations.
Don’t tell your puppy off if they steal something they shouldn’t have, instead puppy proof your house and garden to ensure anything unsafe is out of reach.
Is your puppy constantly biting you (or your slippers!)? Swap for a safe puppy toy like Nylabone Keys and encourage them to bite this instead.
Don't shout at your puppy if they jump up at you, instead teach them to sit.
Don't take your puppy's food bowl away, instead gently throw even tastier treats into their bowl, so they see humans near their bowl as a good thing.
Never, ever pin or alpha-roll your puppy. Instead teach them with kind methods how you would like them to behave in a variety of different situations.
